Prof. dr. L.J. de Vries

Lourens de Vries spent many of his younger years on the South New Guinea coast, researching the Awyu-Ndumut languages Digul Wambon, Kombai and Korowai. His life-long fascination with these and other Papuan languages have led to the Awyu-Ndumut project. Within the project, Lourens focuses on the cultural context of Awyu-Ndumut languages and will write a book entitled The Awyu-Ndumut languages in their cultural and linguistic context.
